Welcome to Cherokee Mountain Cabins
Luxury Cabins in the Nantahala Mountains
We offer secluded luxury cabins in the Nantahala National Forest, perfectly positioned between Nantahala Lake and the Nantahala River Gorge. Just off the Nantahala River on seventy five acres, our setting gives you space to slow down, enjoy mountain views and forest scenery, and still stay close to the region’s most popular outdoor attractions.
Our 75-acre property gives you the space to truly relax. Each cabin is thoughtfully set in its own private area, with three distinct cabin groups spread throughout the property. Depending on where you stay, you may look out to the Blue Ridge Mountains, a forest backdrop, or a creek running through the property.
Room to Breathe and Unwind

Our Cabin Accommodations
We offer one to four-bedroom cabins spread across the property in different locations. Some sit along White Oak Creek, while others are positioned on the mountainside with forest or mountain views. Each option gives you a comfortable place to settle in and enjoy your time in the Nantahala Mountains.

One Bedroom Cabins
Ideal for couples or small families, our one-bedroom cabins offer privacy without extra space. Settle in, unwind, and enjoy outdoor areas that connect you to the forest, creek, or mountain surroundings.

Two Bedroom Cabins
Two-bedroom cabins give you more room to spread out while keeping a cozy, private feel. They’re a great fit for friends or families traveling together, with shared living space and outdoor areas made for time well spent.

Three Bedroom Cabins
Designed for families or small groups, our three-bedroom cabins offer extra space and flexible gathering areas. Perfect for relaxing together, finding a quiet corner, or enjoying different rhythms throughout the day.
Four Bedoom Cabins
For larger families or groups, four-bedroom cabins provide generous space to gather indoors or outside. They make it easy to stay connected while still giving everyone room to unwind on their own terms.
Property Amenities
Across our cabins and grounds, you’ll find amenities designed for easy relaxation and time outdoors. Enjoy three miles of walking and hiking trails, creek fishing right on the property, and shared gathering spaces for visiting or group activities. The property also offers flexible space for larger events such as weddings, family gatherings, and corporate retreats.

We just left our most recent visit to Cherokee Mountain Cabins and we already can’t wait to go back. This was our 3rd visit since fall of 2022 and we stayed in Timber Ridge. Before this visit we have stayed in Barefoot Lodge and Heavens Ridge. It’s so hard to pick a favorite because each one has such wonderful and unique features.

Before this visit we have stayed in Barefoot Lodge and Heavens Ridge. It’s so hard to pick a favorite because each one has such wonderful and unique features. I really don’t think you can go wrong with any of the cabins. The views are stunning and the privacy and luxury are unmatched. It’s my favorite place to go to reset and recharge. The staff is so amazing. I will say the driveway to Timber Ridge and the views from the porch were breathtaking. Jodi truly goes out of her way to be helpful, accommodating and kind. I’ve met housekeeping staff, maintenance personnel and we also met Jonathan the GM briefly, every one we have come in contact with have been so kind and welcoming. I cannot wait for our next visit!

We stayed the weekend in Hide Away Cabin with our 12 yr old son. The loft was perfect for him, he loved the views from the windows and the pool table was a hit! The cabin was immaculate and very organized! The king size bed was super comfy. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and the log burning fireplace on the back porch deck.

The cabin was immaculate and very organized! The king size bed was super comfy. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and the log burning fireplace on the back porch deck. The path down to the river is a little steep but totally doable with little switch backs. There’s even a very nicely constructed suspension bridge down the trail. The gas burning fireplace in the living room kept the room warm. We didn’t make any meals in the cabin as we ate out for our meals because we were enjoying the outdoors. The drive leading in and back out can be an adventure…glad we had a 4x4 truck
